FAQ

Where are you located?

2660 Townsgate Rd., Suite 610

Westlake Village, CA 91361

I’m located at the Village Park Properties office complex near the 101 – Ventura Freeway and the Westlake Blvd. off-ramp.  Suite 610 is located at the rear of the complex.  Upon entering the driveway off Townsgate Rd., follow the signs pointing to the left.  Parking in front of my office suite is plentiful.

I’m easily accessible from the neighboring communities of Agoura Hills, Oak Park, Calabasas, Malibu, Thousand Oaks, Newbury Park, Moorpark, and Simi Valley.

What are your rates?

My fee for a standard 50-minute therapy session is $225.  I reserve a limited number of reduced fee slots for those who cannot afford my full fee.

Can I use my insurance to pay for therapy?

I’m not in-network with any insurance companies, however, I’m happy to provide you with a form that you can send to your insurance company for potential out-of-network reimbursement. This means that you’re responsible for the full fee at the time of our appointment, and your insurance company may reimburse a certain percentage to you.

There are several reasons why I have opted not to become paneled with insurance companies. The primary reasons include: 1) Maintaining client privacy and discretion, 2) The ability to provide you with the highest level of individualized care possible, without the constraints placed on me from managed care.

Do you ever provide therapy online?

Yes! Since I’m licensed in the states of California & New York, I’m legally able to provide therapy to clients located anywhere in either of those states. Sessions are conducted via a secure video platform. Many people opt to work with me online because they prefer the convenience of remaining in their home or office. Often times this can also be a great option for clients who don’t have access to specialized providers for eating disorders in their local area. If you are interested in online therapy, let me know in your initial call and we can discuss whether it’s a good fit for you.

I’m not sure I have an actual eating disorder. Should I still reach out?

It’s a misconception that you need to be very sick, underweight, or meet other criteria to get help.  You don’t need to have received a diagnosis to benefit from therapy to shift your relationship with food and your body.  The fact that you are here indicates you probably know you are struggling enough to start therapy.  For more on some signs that you could use help, check out this post.

What can I expect at my first session?

At your first session, you’ll have the opportunity to ask me any questions you have about therapy and working together. I’ll likely ask you some questions to get to know you better and what brought you to seek help. It’s completely normal to feel somewhat nervous at your first session. You are probably talking about some things for the very first time and that can feel scary. Most people begin to really feel at ease within a few sessions.   For more on what you can expect when starting therapy, check out this post.
